Position description

Peer Genix is seeking applications for a Software Engineer position. The role implements scoped improvements, investigates defects, and supports routine software releases.

Software Engineer | Remote within the United States | Full-time | Associate-level

You will investigate defects and document changes so software behavior can be tested and maintained.

Core Duties

  • Help investigate test failures or release regressions.
  • Write readable code that follows existing project conventions.
  • Review logs and debugging output to isolate software errors.
  • Document important implementation decisions and technical limitations.
  • Improve straightforward performance or reliability issues within scope.
  • Follow established practices for handling credentials and sensitive data.
  • Add or update unit tests for code you modify.

Required Skills

  • Basic familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Attention to code quality, security, and clear technical communication.
  • Working ability in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
  • Ability to write and interpret simple automated tests.
  • Experience through coursework, internships, or personal projects is acceptable.

Annual base salary: $87,500–$89,500 USD.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and able to perform the role remotely from an approved U.S. location.
