NeurFluent is seeking applications for a Software Engineer position. The role develops and maintains application features using established engineering practices and clear technical requirements.
Software Engineer | Remote within the United States | Full-time | Associate-level
You will investigate defects and document changes so software behavior can be tested and maintained.
Core Duties
- Work with APIs and handle ordinary data validation or error cases.
- Participate in code reviews and apply actionable feedback.
- Collaborate on technical requirements and clarify missing acceptance criteria.
- Implement defined application features in the selected programming language.
- Investigate reported defects and reproduce issues before fixing them.
- Update application components while maintaining expected behavior.
- Assist with database queries or data models when relevant to a feature.
Required Skills
- Basic familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Attention to code quality, security, and clear technical communication.
- Working ability in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
- Ability to write and interpret simple automated tests.
- Experience through coursework, internships, or personal projects is acceptable.
Annual base salary: $77,000–$79,000 USD.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and able to perform the role remotely from an approved U.S. location.
