We are hiring for the Software Engineer position at Calyon Engineering. This work collaborates on practical software changes while keeping development work documented and reviewable.
Software Engineer | Remote within the United States | Full-time | Associate-level
You will work from defined technical requirements and confirm expected outcomes before changes are released.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Review logs and debugging output to isolate software errors.
- Document important implementation decisions and technical limitations.
- Improve straightforward performance or reliability issues within scope.
- Follow established practices for handling credentials and sensitive data.
- Add or update unit tests for code you modify.
- Work with APIs and handle ordinary data validation or error cases.
- Check code changes locally before submitting them for testing.
Qualifications and Skills
- Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks in a remote team.
- Basic familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Attention to code quality, security, and clear technical communication.
- Working ability in at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
- Ability to write and interpret simple automated tests.
Annual base salary: $84,000–$87,000 USD.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and able to perform the role remotely from an approved U.S. location.
